Talking to Yourself

Do you talk to yourself? There are times the inner dialogue of ours is to seek attention at times so detrimental it becomes self sabotage. Take for instance a patience who consciously want to get better but yet he/she will utter words to get the sympathy from love ones as the subconscious mind feel that they receive all the attention in the world therefore remain sick.
