Volunteers: The Heart of the Olympic Games

In this episode of Unsung Olympic Heroes, we turn our focus to an indispensable part of the Olympic Games, for without this collective group of individuals; the games would never be the ultimate show on earth. We salute the Volunteers!

In the studio with us is Ms. Tay Li Neo, she has previously been employed with both Winter and Summer Youth Olympic Games, held respectively in Innsbruck and Singapore.

She shares her experience in working with volunteers and what makes the volunteer such an integral part of the games, how they take time off from their own lives to assist and serve in various capacities in the games.

For every four years when the Olympics are held, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life, apply and volunteer for the games. They pay for their own flight tickets and almost everything else, so what motivates these unique individuals.
