Continuing with our Walk the Talk series, Hoong Ling interviewed Michael Teoh an enterprising entrepreneur, avid speaker and consultant specializing in grooming emerging talents in companies and government agencies. He has worked with people in the fields of Maximizing Human Potentials, Gen-Y Leadership & Motivation, Youth (Emerging Talent) Development, Communications and Strategy (Focused on Youth Engagement).

He shares personal development tips on www.MichaelTeoh.com and is a columnist with the New Straits Times. He is also the Managing Editor of Entrepreneurs.my. Prior to returning to Malaysia in 2012, Michael won the world’s largest social entrepreneurship competition among 45,000 people from 168 countries in the UK, called Your Big Year where he ventured to 22 countries in 2011 working with NGOs and companies on humanitarian and environmental projects.

He was awarded Malaysia’s Most Enterprising Youth of 2010 by the Deputy Prime Minister and a nominee  for the Perdana Youth Awards, endorsed by the Prime Minister in 2012. He was inducted into the Malaysian Achievers Hall of Fame, under the Youth category for 2012, and was awarded the Most Extraordinary Youth Traveler Awards in Barcelona, Spain.
