What would really make your heart sing?
Have you ever set a goal, attained it but later felt empty?
Could your health challenges be your turning point?
For eleven years, hoping to gain greater recognition and making more money, Florence Lam hopped from one job to another, with each job not lasting more than two years. Finally, out of exasperation, she decided to start her own financial consultancy business. In the first five years, she worked so hard, chasing successes and more money. She was basking in the glory of status recognition and star achievements (now, she calls them “stuff”).
With her business successes, however, she felt empty and unfulfilled, especially when she could not get any moral support from her loved ones. As a result, her personal pursuits were meaningless and she was not happy. One breakdown leads to another, she started experiencing her worst health challenges. Never before in her life, she had a series of eczema, viral infections and migraine, all happened at the same time. She was thrown off balance.
At that moment, the question of “Who am I?” haunted her and she began to ask the “whys of her life”. The health challenges, somehow, became the blessings in disguise, they turned out to be her turning point to discover and awaken to her authentic Self, leading her to realize her purpose in life.
In seeking for the ultimate Truth, she found a new relationship with money. Now, she understand the connection between freedom, creation, love and money.
