Japanese Film Festival is Back 2013

The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) is returning this September for the tenth year in Malaysia.

This year the festival will be screening 9 films varies from comedy to animation over six days in the familiar venues in the Klang Valley and four days in Penang. It will also be the first time for this festival to tour to East Malaysia, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.

japan_film_fest_movieThis year’s Japanese Film Festival is opening with a brand new film “Ken & Mary” which was filmed here in Malaysia in year 2011. This would be the World Premier for the film as it will only be released in November in Japan. This film directed by FUKASAKU Kenta tells the story of a Japanese father who came all the way to Malaysia to break off theengagement of his daughter. The film also featuring Malaysia famous comedian, Zizan Raja Lawak who acts as the colleague to the daughter in the film.

*Tickets for JFF’13 will be sold at RM 6 per ticket except for “DETECTIVE CONAN: Private Eye in the Distant Sea” which will be priced at prevailing ticket pricing.
